Students at Hicksville Middle School in the Hicksville Public School District participated in the Hoops for Heart program after school to promote cardiovascular health. The groups of students rotated through a series of basketball-related workouts and games, such as Around the World, H-O-R-S-E, a layup line, and
Knockout. In addition to fundraising for the American Heart Association, the event served to reinforce the importance of an active lifestyle.
